I am a part-time research student with the University of Chichester. My thesis Folklore, Fighting and Fairies explores the changes in the treatment of fairies by Folklore Society members and how far these reflect wider academic and folkloric trends. It covers the era from the Society’s foundation in 1878 until the eve of WW2. Whilst studying I am also working, nearly full-time, as an Assistant in an educational library. To confuse things further, I am a distance learner. I belong to two institutions, working at one and studying at another!
